About
Such a popular visit we needed to arrange a second date. A beautiful and local hall and grounds, where we had an exclusive tour and met the Parkers.
Browsolme Hall, set in 600 acres of countryside in the Forest of Bowland, is the home of Robert and Amanda Parker. The imposing and historic house has been occupied by successive generations of the Parker family for over 500 years. The Society is delighted to offer members the opportunity of a guided tour of the hall, followed by lunch at the Cart Shed.
Programme:
- Meet at The Tithe Barn, Browsholme Hall at 11 AM.
- There is ample parking at The Tithe Barn.
- We will be met at The Tithe Barn by Catherine Turner, who will introduce us to our two tour guides and take us into the main hall.
- The hall is approximately 300 yards from the car park; those with walking difficulties can park a little nearer.
Accessibility:
- Most rooms inside the hall are on the ground floor, but there are three rooms up two flights of wide stairs.
- There are places to sit in most of the rooms if required.
Duration:
- The tour will last approximately 1 hour.
- Lunch will be served at The Cart Shed Tea Room at 12:30 PM, where we will enjoy a selection of soup and sandwiches, followed by tea or coffee.
Cost:
- £27.00 per head, which includes admission to the hall and lunch.
