VISIT INCLUDES GUIDED TOUR OF THE HALL
Situated a short distance from Cartmel, Holker Hall dates back to the early 1600s and has been home to the Preston, Lowther and Cavendish families. The estate has passed by inheritance through the family line with each generation leaving its mark with enhancements, embellishments and even partial re-building of the magnificent Hall. Wonderful award-winning gardens surround the Hall which themselves lead to the extensive 250 acres of open parkland. Holker is a perfect venue to spend a fascinating and delightful day
both in the Hall itself and its extensive grounds.
The arrangements for the day are as follows:
Depart Clitheroe Interchange at 8.45am
10.30am : coffee and biscuits in the Ilex Suite
11.15am Guided tour of the Hall – approximately 1 hour
12.15 onwards: visit the gardens and parkland and enjoy Lunch in the lovely Courtyard Café.
Approx. 3pm: depart for home.
PRICE £35.50 per person. The price includes entry fees and morning coffee but NOT lunch.
