Summer Garden Party at Whins Lodge, Sabden
On 17th July 2022 over 80 members of the Society attended a garden party at the Chairman’s home, Whins Lodge, Sabden. It was a glorious summer’s day, and members enjoyed drinks, a buffet lunch and much convivial chat seated in the garden which was at it best in a riot of high season colour. In addition to being a splendid occasion, the event also raised funds of over £1,150 which will be used to run a project for children of a local school to learn to craft objects from Willow, replicating a similar very successful project recently completed at Newchurch St Mary’s CE Primary Academy.
Those attending were unanimous in the view that a summer event is a “must” for future years!
